Welcome to the Midwest Double Reed Society.
The MDRS is an organization dedicated to supporting the needs of oboists and bassoonists throughout the Midwest.

The Twenty-Third MDRS Young Artist Competition results are in. We are sincerely grateful to everyone who contributed to the success of this event including Dr. Theresa Delaplain and Prof. Richard Ramey of the University of Arkansas and our generous sponsors. The International Double Reed Society Conference comes to the Midwest!
Visit IDRS2010.org to see a list of events including many presented by MDRS members. Some member events are also listed on our calendar page. The MDRS is sponsoring one student member to attend thein Norman, OK this June. The applicant selected for this honor is Caitlyn Bryson of Oklahoma State University and student of Celeste Johnson. Ms. Bryson was also one of the first prize winners of our Young Artist Competition.
Our Ninth annual Double Reed Festival is in the planning stages. Details should be available by September. Please visit our festival page to read a review of last year's event.
